The Real Me in All My Glory!

This is the body I love.

It wasn’t always this way — not by a long shot. I, like many other women, have been trained how to make the camera work in our favor so no one ever sees our flaws.

But yes, as cliche as it sounds, I am in agreement that our scars are our story and they are a badge and a banner for what our bodies go through as women.

Four babies, four C-sections, the last of which I nearly died on the operating table… and this is the body I have to show for it.

I wouldn’t change a thing! The scars and the tummy flap — not much I can do about that. The extra 50 lbs? There is certainly plenty I can do about that!!

Of course, there’s always the fear that comes with big weight-loss of how the body will morph and change and what parts will hang in what ways. I’m going to attempt to keep a tight grip on that through toning exercises and also through meditation and visualization.

Let’s see how this goes!

Thanks for joining me. =)
